Content that appears publicly on the site passes through a moderation check first. This is a basic content and spam screen of the same kind that protects every form on the site, from film submissions to newsletter sign-ups. It is not a judgment on a film's quality.
Occasionally a submission is held for a closer look, for example because crew information is incomplete or a file needs checking. Filmmakers can see the status of their film from their own dashboard.
The same care applies to profiles. A request to claim a crew profile goes through verification before it is approved, so that nobody can take over another person's professional identity without documentation.
