À propos du festival
The Canada Kids Film Festival (CKFF) is a national and international festival dedicated to showcasing the best in children's cinema. Every fall we bring films sur children, pour children and faits par children to audiences in Toronto.
Five sections
The festival is built around five sections:
- National: Canadian stories from all 13 provinces and territories.
- International: children's films from every corner of the world.
- Autochtone: films by Indigenous creators, or about Indigenous youth and culture.
- Fait par des enfants: films directed by young people under 18.
- Regard sur le monde: each year we celebrate one guest country's history of children's cinema.
What we accept
Short films, feature films, documentaries, animation and TV/web series. Submission is free in every category and at every deadline. A matching Photography Festival runs alongside the film festival in the same themes.
Prix
Every competitive section names Top Nominees and Winners in each category, chosen by our Academy of filmmakers, educators and industry professionals. Winners receive the CKFF Medal, custom-made each year, and may receive sponsor prizes such as filmmaking grants, mentorship programs and distribution opportunities.
Our symbol
The festival's symbol is the beaver family: grandparents, parents and five kids aged 1 to 16. Like our audience, they are three generations who love stories.
Where
Screenings take place across Toronto, including North York Civic Centre, York Woods Library Theatre and Toronto City Hall.
