Synopsis
Where the waters of the Tapajós intertwine, a river that murmurs ancestral secrets, “Amassunu” emerges. The short film tells the story of Maní, a talented chef at a restaurant in Brasília (DF), the capital of Brazil. But Maní’s reality shifts when she receives news of her grandmother’s illness, leading her from the nation’s capital to a city in the Brazilian Amazon, in Pará.
This call to return to her homeland becomes more than a physical journey; it is a return to her roots, inviting us all to immerse ourselves in an oasis of textures, scents, and Amazonian landscapes.
