Synopsis
In a Beijing valley, a “rogue” forest kindergarten lets children roam freely, like a hidden paradise. Faced with government closures and pandemic shutdowns, the school struggles to survive; eventually, it becomes legal, but the valley—and its original magic—are gone. Order gained through legality cannot bring back the freedom and wonder that once existed.
