Synopsis
Sanong and his mother, Mak Alang, were turned away when they tried to attend a party hosted by their wealthy neighbor, Pak Sauji. However, because Pak Sauji and the guests mocked Sanong and his cat, Sitam—who had been allowed to run into the party tent—nature retaliated against their arrogance with a punishment that gave rise to an enduring story and legend.
