The Hidden Performance

Raka is an eleven-year-old child actor who works to fulfill his mother's dreams for a better future. When a film opportunity conflicts with the school trip he desperately wants to attend, his mother makes the choice for him. Despite his refusal, Raka eventually gives in to her persuasion. During filming, under the director's guidance, Raka is asked to imagine profound loss. When the cameras roll, he cries, the tears are real, carrying not just the character's pain, but his own, the weight of his mother's hopes and the slow surrender of his childhood. Meanwhile, behind the camera, his mother watched her son become an actor with a proud smile.
