Synopsis

The pollution of the river forces the inhabitants of "Carrizo" to leave their homes. Among the displaced who arrive in "Miraflores" seeking refuge are Tiana and her family. Not all the locals welcome the newcomers warmly; distrust of what is different and unknown will roam the village like a ghost. The atmosphere is tense even among the children. However, things will be different for Mateo and Tomás. The arrival of Tiana's little dog in the village will open an unexpected bond between the girl and the brothers, giving the three of them the chance to get to know one another beyond prejudice.
During a celebration in the village, Tiana recognizes among the guests Guillén, a businessman associated with the disasters that occurred in her own village. Despite attempts to alert the neighbors about the wrongdoing of the authorities and the businessman, the villagers, dazzled by the possibilities of progress, refuse to listen. When, shortly after, the river that runs through the village of Miraflores also wakes up polluted, for Tiana there will no longer be any doubt that history is repeating itself. Accompanied by Mateo, Tomás, and the dog Nube, she sets out upstream, toward the lands that the businessman Guillén bought. Determined to stop those responsible, the four of them will face adventures and dangers in search of what is poisoning the rivers.
